Flexitallic H.O.T. Gaskets

The Style H.O.T. is a spiral wound gasket utilizing a combination of fillers to give superior ability at extremely high temperature applications. Originally developed to accommodate nitric acid applications at elevated temperatures, the H.O.T. graphite/ceramic spiral wound gaskets have been replacing ceramic filled spiral wound gaskets which are being phased out due to inadequate sealing performance. 

H.O.T. spiral wound gaskets utilize high recovery, heat treated Inconel® windings and inhibited Flexicarb® graphite, with a high heat shield (on both inside and outside diameters) to protect against “graphite oxidization”. The H.O.T. gasket overcomes the problems associated with leakage due to a deterioration of gasket materials at high temperatures.
